HOW THE COMMUNICATIONS ROUNDTABLE WORKS

The Communications Roundtable was originated as a cooperative venture from the original four organizations to include 24 organizations including several national groups. The original organizations were the local (Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, North Carolina area) chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Women In Communications (WIC) - Raleigh Chapter and the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS).

With the advent and growth of the Internet, there has been less reason to have a central organization with regular meetings. Thus, we now only maintain the Roundtable Job Bank and online resources as a service to the profession.

The Career and Employment section of the site further helps promote professionalism. It also can assist individuals seeking a new position and employers who are seeking qualified employees.

The Job Bank provides an opportunity for employers and Executive Recruiters an oportunity to reach many highly trained professionals. With many listings also provided by individuals who learn of job openings and listings they have found the Job Bank is an outstanding source of jobs.
