Note:
Michael Reichgut was the Communications Roundtable's founder and first chairman. There have been several different chairpersons. Michael returned to keep the Roundtable providing job searching services since the focus became more national in scope. The Roundtable Website provides listings of corporate and non-profit jobs as well as positions posted by Executive Recruiters. One of the features is the Executive Recruiters Index. (The 2012 Edition is the most comprehensive executive recruiters list [with more than 400 recruiters] for the Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, and Advertising professional.)
Michael lives and works in California providing expert communications expertise to clients through his SolutionsIC Website Design firm. His firm also provides Website hosting, public relations, marketing and advertising support to its growing list of nationwide clients. He does Websites for clients in many fields, including two HBO movies, cities and towns, businesses and corporations, newspapers, professional organizations, non-profits and chambers of commerce.
He developed the first Roundtable Website and has been the Webmaster for more than 20 years. His company, SolutionsIC Web Design, has managed and hosts the Website.
The leadership of the several organizations met to discuss "cooperation." The leadership of the local Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators, Women In Communications and the Raleigh Public Relations Society agreed that the time was right to move ahead to work together!
The Communications Roundtable association grew to include several national organizations. The association of 24 public relations, marketing, graphics, advertising, training, information technology and other communications organizations had more than 12,000 professional members. The goals included furthering professionalism, cooperation between member organizations, career and employment support, employer assistance, and membership services and benefits. It was the largest organization of its type.
With the advent and growth of the Internet, there was less reason to have a central organization with regular meetings. Thus, we now only maintain the Roundtable Job Bank and online resources as a service to the profession.
We hope you find the Website of value and we would love to have your comments and suggestions on how we can better serve.
